Overview
I have been building with Django for over a decade. I co-founded Vendably, a dual-platform business spanning a Google CSS and a SaaS product that served over 1,000 brands across 21 countries and managed more than 3 million products. I also co-founded WordTail, a SaaS keyword tracking tool that raised £350k. I know what it takes to build Django applications that scale, stay maintainable, and do not fall over in production. I work on greenfield projects, rescues of broken codebases, and everything in between.
My approach
I work iteratively. Before writing a line of code I want to understand your business logic, specifically the rules that govern your domain, because that is where most technical debt originates. I write tests alongside features, keep the architecture simple until complexity is justified, and use Django's built-in tools correctly rather than reaching for third-party packages by default. You get regular demos, clean code, and a handover you can actually maintain.
