Overview

Vamos+ brings the whole padel community onto one platform: players, coaches, clubs, and suppliers. The tools are free for everyone, which is how the network grows; revenue comes from transaction fees on bookings, coaching sessions, and commerce, not from subscriptions. It is padel-first, but the data models are built to be multi-sport capable.

The Problem

The padel community is fragmented across separate tools for booking, coaching, club operations, and equipment. Vamos+ consolidates that into a single system and becomes the place where the community, and the products it buys, come together.

The Approach

Vamos+ is a Django monolith built in strict dependency-layer order across a set of app specifications, organised around five portals (player, coach, club, supplier, and platform). One account carries multiple additive roles: a player can also be a coach, a coach can also run a club. The web uses session auth; the API uses JWT. It is internationalised across several languages from the start, and it uses Stripe Connect to route money between the parties in a transaction.

Status

Vamos+ is in active development, built layer by layer, with the foundational layers complete and the higher portals in progress. The engineering discipline is real: the suite already runs several thousand passing tests. The launch sequence runs from the Canary Islands outward.

What It Demonstrates

  • A genuine multi-sided platform: four distinct user types on one system.
  • A transaction-fee model rather than subscriptions, so the tools stay free.
  • Sport-agnostic data models: padel-first, but not padel-only.
  • A disciplined layered build, with a large and growing test suite from day one.
